I am currently revisiting my 1987 art video Miranda with the help of AI. The original pencil drawings can now be brought to life.

At the same time, this project gives me the opportunity to create a completely new soundtrack, drawing on nearly forty years of additional experience as a composer and sound designer.

 

During this AI process, I realised that I had used myself as the model for many of the drawings back in 1987.

Now that the main character has come to life, I recognise myself in him for the very first time.

What fascinates me most is the series of conversions: from person to drawing, from drawing to video, and ultimately – through AI – back into a living character in whom I recognise myself!
