Ode aan de lelijkheid

Bad taste can be a form of ugliness.
Here’s a demo I made on commission for author, trainer and speaker Hester Macrander.
The cabaret-style song gets a slightly classical touch here, both in the instrumentation and
the musical interpretation. Music and vocals translate themselves, I would almost say as
always, into an almost literal musical representation. That literalness may sometimes seem a bit silly (and perhaps it is), but most of the it works :-)
I’m actually singing in true demo style here, not entirely convinced, but well... Hester later recorded the song herself.

ODE AAN DE LELIJKHEID (fragment)
tekst: Hester Macrander
